Who Are We?

Spanglishgirl.com is a Latina lifestyle blog dedicated to producing quality online content from a Latina-American perspective. We are a group of Latinas (3 sisters and a prima) who embarked on a journey to build a webspace which both embraces and celebrates our Mexican-American identity; hence the name Spanglish Girl, Spanglish being synonymous with our bi-cultural lifestyle.  It is our hope all readers will find our blog to be both informative and entertaining. Thank you for checking us out!

Cristina (Spanglish Girl) is the co-founder and chief editor of Spanglish Girl. She earned a B.A. in English and a minor in Political Science from the Northern Illinois University.  She is currently applying to law school and has worked in the fields of public relations and law. She is also a community activist and served as President of The Young Latino Democrats and on the Board of Diversity during her undergrad years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being in nature and blogging. Currently, she is working towards building a SG lifestyle and media brand and graduating law school.
*Spanglish Girl from the Spanglish Girl Diaries is the funnier, and much more crazy alter-ego/personality of  Cristina.

Monica is a co-founder and contributing author for SpanglishGirl.com. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada Las Vegas College of Fine Arts where she studied Studio Art with an emphasis in drawing and painting.

Her more notable projects are Spanglish Comics and Spanglish Girl Problems: a series of memes and comics based on her experiences growing up Mexican-American.

When she is not blogging she can often be found reading, writing, researching her family history, creating art, or brainstorming new crazy ideas with her sister, Cristina.

Alicia is a self-described lover and expert of telenovelas, cooking and entertaining.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to her second home in Mexico and spending time with family and friends. Among Alicia’s most popular contributions to our blog is her quinceanera DIY blogs.

Maria is a contributing blogger in the areas of home, health, self-improvement, family and food.  Among Maria’s passions are traveling, health and self-improvement. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
